Whoopi Goldberg compares Sarah Palin's accent to Ebonics

Today on The View, conservative actress, Patricia Heaton was on, and Joy Behar asked her how she thought the press treated Sarah Palin, to which Patricia responded "horribly." Then Behar counters with "she didn’t deserve it?"
Patricia rightly says that she was mocked for the way she spoke. She was very chagrined that the Democrats in this country were supposed to be the party for the working class person, but then when a "working-class person rears their ugly head and talks differently, and they make fun of them and say 'what a hick, what a ruse.'"
Then Whoopi responds with "when black folks did it they called it Ebonics."
Is poor Whoopi doing heroin again?
