A former Miami football player was sentenced Tuesday morning to 60 days in jail following a burglary conviction stemming from a dormitory break-in.

Zachary Marshall, 21, was convicted of twice attempting to break in to the Havinghurst Hall room of Melissa Samure on the Miami campus back in May. During the second break in, Marshall climbed on top of Samure and covered her face with a pillow. He then left after a brief struggle, according to court records.
