Illustrating absurdity by being absurd

Friday, the Dayton Daily News published an article entitled "'Joe the Plumber' legislation in the works" in which they describe legislation proposed by State Rep. Shannon Jones (R - Springboro) which would "seek to make sure that citizens' private information is kept only for legitimate government purposes, that there are sound procedures in place to protect the information and real accountability if policies and procedures aren't followed".

On 12 October 2008 then Senator Barack Hussein Obama went to the Lincoln Green neighborhood in Holland, Ohio home to Joe Wurzelbacher. Wurzelbacher had been playing football with his son in his front yard when Obama began knocking on doors soliciting votes. Wurzelbacher was not seeking publicity, he was enjoying time with his son. These critical facts have been lost on millions of democRAT socialist moonbats who have been preaching the DUmmieLand MoveOn mantra that Wurzelbacher was the one seeking publicity.

Someone who has latched onto this falsehood is Terry Wills of Middletown, Ohio. He commented on the DDN article saying if Wurzelbacher "agreed to play the game to reap the publicity from supporting the McCain campaign, then he should be man enough to endure the consequences. Celebrity status doesn’t come without a price and the price is to give up your privacy. We don't need a law to protect people like this." Really? "Man enough to endure the consequences?" Suppose someone from Middletown, Ohio were to comment on an article and interject himself into the discussion. Suppose further that people were interested in "knowing the validity" of this individual and thought they "right to know the character" of this person. Suppose they wanted to know that his email address was kwills1116@cinci.rr.com; or that he served in the US Air Force from 1968 to 1972 and was at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Vietnam with the 7th Air Force from September 1969 to September 1970 where he refueled flightline aircraft; or that his wife's name is Kathleen; or that he worked as a Lab Technician III at International Paper; or that he graduated high school in 1966; or that he moved to Tucson, Arizona only to return to Middletown in 2005; or that he believes the Middletown school board and city council have ruined the city; or that he paid $2,545.94 in property taxes for 2007; or that his home was built in 1989 and is valued at $140,500 after being purchased on 10 October 2005 for $177,000; or that his phone number is (513) 423-0749 and lives at 308 Rachel Lane, Middletown, OH 45042? Just suppose that someone wanted to begin with an email address and seek information on someone who interjected themselves into the discussion. Wouldn't that be absurd? Just suppose.
