Northmont High School coach Loren Patrick Meadows found with 17-year old girl

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/24/2009 12:56:00 PM

Englewood [Ohio] police are investigating a Northmont High School coach arrested in Clinton County after being found with a 17-year-old girl on Tuesday, June 23. "Our detectives are interviewing the 17-year-old and her parents to determine if any criminal activity occurred in our city," according to Englewood Police Chief Mark Brownfield. "It is too early to make any determinations."

Loren Patrick Meadows, 35, of Union, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business after allegedly refusing to comply with Clinton County sheriff deputies. The sheriff’s department said Meadows was found in a parked car with the Englewood girl in the driveway of an abandoned house on Clarksville Road.

On Wednesday, Gene Klaus, human resources director for Northmont Schools said Meadows "has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately."

His hearing is scheduled for 30 June before Judge Chad L. Carey.

Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann vows not to complete Census

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/21/2009 10:26:00 PM

Outspoken Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says she's so worried that information from next year's national census will be abused that she will refuse to fill out anything more than the number of people in her household.

In an interview Wednesday morning with The Washington Times "America's Morning News," Mrs. Bachmann, Minnesota Republican, said the questions have become "very intricate, very personal" and she also fears ACORN, the community organizing group that came under fire for its voter registration efforts last year, will be part of the Census Bureau's door-to-door information collection efforts.

"I know for my family the only question we will be answering is how many people are in our home," she said. "We won't be answering any information beyond that, because the Constitution doesn't require any information beyond that."

I have already come to the same decision for when I receive my census. It is none of the government's business outside of how many people reside in my home. If Komrade Obama wishes to send me to jail for this - so be it.

Bush takes swipes at Obambi policies

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/18/2009 09:11:00 AM

Mr. Bush weighed in on some of the most pressing issues of the day: the election in Iran, the closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba, and his administration's interrogation policies of terrorists held there and elsewhere. The former president has not commented on Mr. Obama's decision to ban "enhanced interrogation techniques" such as waterboarding, which the current president has called "off course" and "based on fear."

"The way I decided to address the problem was twofold: One, use every technique and tool within the law to bring terrorists to justice before they strike again," he said, adding that the country needs to stay on offense, not defense. On Guantanamo, which while in office Mr. Bush said he wanted to close, the former president was diplomatic.

"I told you I'm not going to criticize my successor," he said. "I'll just tell you that there are people at Gitmo that will kill American people at a drop of a hat and I don't believe that persuasion isn't going to work. Therapy isn't going to cause terrorists to change their mind."

US Air Force Museum Restoration Division seeks Memphis Belle photos

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/16/2009 11:30:00 AM

Despite the aircraft's fame, little footage of the interior exists. It is believed that the cabin was modified after the Memphis Belle left the factory; all B-17 models were built with a navigator's desk on the left side, and the Belle came to the museum with the desk on the right. Restoration crew members have heard recollections of this arrangement during its final missions, but no wartime photos support these statements. Actual footage of the Belle used in the 1943 documentary The Memphis Belle shows the navigator working on the left side, but the shot does not show the desk, leading to speculations that the workspace could be the sextant and bombsight storage locker usually located in that area.

The museum's restoration division is seeking photographs of the interior of the Belle taken time during or shortly after its service in World War II. Searches of local newspapers and libraries along the route of the Belle's war bond tour have proved fruitless. Any photographs taken while the Belle was in England would be especially appreciated.

To provide a photo, please contact the Restoration Division at (937) 255-8715.

School's out - for good

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/16/2009 11:29:00 AM

Research shows that home education now surpasses all other educational methods in academics, socialization and spiritual health. The number of children being homeschooled is rapidly approaching the 3 million mark as homeschool associations across the nation provide support and parents take full responsibility for their children's education.

Home education best and most completely fulfills Christ's command to spread the Gospel because it allows parents to better educate and disciple their children. Clearly the tide is turning as Christian leaders and laymen realize that through a home education centered on God's purposes, the hearts of the fathers are turned toward the children and the children back to the fathers.

Sadly, the outcry is far overdue as the spiritual carnage in the lives of public school children is strewn across America's landscape. Several studies show that up to 88 percent of these kids lose their faith by their sophomore year in college, while only 2 percent of home-educated young people abandon their faith. Tender minds taken captive by the godless humanist teaching of public schools no longer understand that absolute truth exists. Schooled in sexual deviancy, Christian children exhibit rates of promiscuity similar to their secular counterparts.

The time has come for homeschool parents to boldly, in love, share the blessings of home education with others. Too often we fear offending with the truth, but the spiritual lives of children are at stake. This is missionary work at its finest because the revival of a generation is possible. To remain silent is surely sin.

Reason # to homeschool.

Creation Museum's attendance exceeds expectations

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/16/2009 11:17:00 AM

Two years after its controversial opening, the Creation Museum has drawn 720,000 visitors, far more than the 250,000 annually organizers predicted. It brought in $7 million in receipts last fiscal year, with organizers saying it has had an economic impact of more than $20 million.

Along the way, it has become a popular science field trip destination for Christian schools, religious and home-school groups and public-school clubs. Students represent many of the museum's group visitors, which make up roughly 20 percent to 30 percent of overall attendance, officials said.

I encourage everyone to head down there and visit the museum. My family have a lifetime membership and frequently share our guest passes with family and friends.

What Barack Hussein Obama Inherited by Rush Limbaugh

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/09/2009 10:13:00 AM

If I might correct the architect of the collapse of the Soviet Union, well, the partial architect, Ronald Reagan helped as well, that would be Mikhail Gorbachev. Mr. Gorbachev, Russia was destroyed, the Soviet Union was destroyed by freedom; it was destroyed by capitalism; it was destroyed by American exceptionalism. Socialism as an opponent to capitalism is what died with the Soviet Union. Communism as an opponent to capitalism is what died. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what Barack Obama inherited. Barack Obama continually, childishly, immaturely blames predecessors for all of the mess that he and he alone has compounded. If he wants to talk about what he inherited, I'd like to put it down on the record what he inherited. The problem is he inherited it temporarily. He's in the process of destroying it.

Barack Obama inherited greatness in a nation. He inherited the birthplace of the individual. He inherited the defender of liberty at home and abroad, the United States of America. He inherited the opportunity to lead a nation of sheer exceptionalism, a nation of equal opportunity, a nation which featured its citizens the right to fail and to try and try and try again. He inherited the financial center and capital of the world. Barack Obama inherited the country that has successfully championed capitalism and widespread prosperity. He inherited a nation which liberated billions of people who lived in oppression. He also inherited great responsibility. He inherited the responsibility to lead this great nation, the world's lone superpower, a nation oriented toward the good of humanity. He inherited the responsibility to preserve and strengthen the free markets and economies that made this the greatest nation in the history of human civilization. He inherited the responsibility to continue the philosophy and the tradition of a country founded on Judeo-Christian morals, ethics, and principles.

He inherited the Constitution of the United States. He did not claim the right to remake it, to rewrite it, to change it. He swore to uphold it. And he's in the process of wreaking as much damage to the Constitution as he can get away with, with nominations like Sonia Sotomayor, as he is wreaking damage to the US economy. Barack Obama did not inherit a mess. He leads a mess. He inherited the United States of America, where anything is possible. And greatness has been delivered to the world time after time in the form of private sector inventions, innovations, advancements in products that improve people's lives for over 200 years. He inherited a country of individuals energized by their liberty and strengthened by their character. Barack Obama inherited the leadership of the greatest collection of human beings in the history of human existence.

And what has he done with this inheritance? He has run around the world and apologized at every stop he makes for what he considers the sins, the immorality, and the unjust unfairness of the way he perceives the United States of America. He inherited a country that liberates the oppressed, as I said. He inherited the greatest economy in history. He inherited that, nothing more, nothing less, plus the Constitution. There is nothing to apologize for. It is childish, it's babyish, it is immature, it is unbecoming anyone who holds the office of president of the United States to run around crying like a baby while lying about the mess he inherited, because he didn't inherit a mess. He inherited years and decades of stewardship from the Oval Office of the greatest nation in history. In his mind, he inherited a flawed social experiment. He has now made the mess that is the United States economy. He is making a mess of United States foreign policy.

There is a lot to be proud of this country, but you don't hear much about that from the Oval Office or wherever Obama's teleprompter happens to be planted. We don't hear people in his administration talk about how proud they are of this country and how proud they are of the people who make this country work. There is a lot of work to be done, but not the way Obama is proceeding. He is creating more work for future generations to reclaim their birthright that is the greatness of this country. Barack Obama is destroying what others before him preserved and expanded upon. He's now saying, we can no longer postpone health care, just like we couldn't postpone stimulus, we couldn't postpone TARP, now can't postpone health care. If he gets what he and the Democrats want, single payer national health care, your kids and grandkids can forget the American dream as you and your grandparents knew it.

Stupidity: There's an app for that

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/09/2009 10:12:00 AM

There’s no "app for that" but a Dayton Police sergeant applied his own police training and used an iPhone to identify a reckless driver early Monday, June 8.

Sgt. Mark A. Ponichtera was patrolling the 1400 block of South Smithville Road when he noticed a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass driving 64 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to a police report.

Ponichtera used his portable spotlight to get a look at the driver, he said in his report. Ponichtera followed the car which turned onto Woodbine Avenue and clocked the Cutlass driving 50 mph in a 25 mph zone, the report stated.

Ponichtera tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver accelerated to about 80 mph, the report stated. Ponichtera ended his pursuit when it became too dangerous for other drivers and pedestrians, the report stated.

But minutes later Ponichtera witnessed the driver running on foot and found the Cutlass abandoned on Northdale Road. Ponichtera searched the vehicle and found the driver’s iPhone on the floorboard of the car.

Ponichtera found the driver’s name in an e-mail, along with several pictures of the driver saved on the phone.

Ponichtera let dispatch know and broadcast was made with the driver’s identity and description. Police are still searching for the driver, who has a criminal history and is known to police.

Police impounded the Cutlass.

Thoughts on Obambi's speech in Cairo

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/04/2009 11:34:00 PM

I am grateful for your hospitality, and the hospitality of the people of Egypt. I am also proud to carry with me the goodwill of the American people, and a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country: assalaamu alaykum.
Don't forget boys and girls, he isn't a Muslim .
I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect...and the dignity of all human beings.
Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, Jack Hensley, Kenneth Bigley, Eugene Armstrong, Jonathon Michael Cote, Mohammed Mutawalli, Maher Kemal, Georgi Lazov, Shosei Koda, Kim Sun-il, Paul Marshall Johnson, Jr., Seif Adnan Kanaan, Piotr Stanczak, and Aasiya Z. Hassan were unavailable for comment.
As the Holy Koran tells us, "[Blah blah blah]."
The Koran when not used as a replacement for Charmin two-ply toilet tissue can be found to have numerous descriptions of Mohammed as a pedophile. The Koran also guides its groupies to be engaged in deceit, polygamy, wife-beating suicide bombings, and murder.
That is what I will try to do - to speak the truth as best I can.
Have you visited all fifty-seven states yet?
My father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims.
How many Christians did they kill?
And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
Once again, Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, Jack Hensley, Kenneth Bigley, Eugene Armstrong, Jonathon Michael Cote, Mohammed Mutawalli, Maher Kemal, Georgi Lazov, Shosei Koda, Kim Sun-il, Paul Marshall Johnson, Jr., Seif Adnan Kanaan, Piotr Stanczak, and Aasiya Z. Hassan were unavailable for comment.
The United States has been one of the greatest sources of progress that the world has ever known.
"Has been"? Excellent leadership there Barry. Put the pipe down.
Much has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected President.
Bill Cunningham is patiently awaiting an apology.
The first issue that we have to confront is violent extremism in all of its forms.
I agree, let's start with overturning Roe v. Wade.
We reject the same thing that people of all faiths reject: the killing of innocent men, women, and children.
And yet you are not only in favor of abortion but the even more barbaric practice of partial birth abortion.
I am aware that some question or justify the events of 9/11. But let us be clear: Al Qaeda killed nearly 3,000 people on that day. The victims were innocent men, women and children from America and many other nations who had done nothing to harm anybody. And yet Al Qaeda chose to ruthlessly murder these people, claimed credit for the attack, and even now states their determination to kill on a massive scale.
Congrats, the truthers will be urinating themselves with delight now. Paging Alex Jones...
Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism - it is an important part of promoting peace.
The families of those killed and wounded at the Pentagon, World Trade Center, and aboard Flight 93 would certainly disagree.
9/11 was an enormous trauma to our country. The fear and anger that it provoked was understandable, but in some cases, it led us to act contrary to our ideals.
Wonderful, a written invitation for the next terrorist attack.
Six million Jews were killed - more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today. Denying that fact is baseless, ignorant, and hateful.
And yet you want to be pals with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Interesting.
On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people - Muslims and Christians - have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. For more than sixty years they have endured the pain of dislocation.
History lesson for you Barry: the land was given to Israel around four thousand years ago. Get over it.
It's a story with a simple truth: that violence is a dead end.
And yet you have an admitted terrorist as a friend.
No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons. That is why I strongly reaffirmed America's commitment to seek a world in which no nations hold nuclear weapons.
When Iran detonates a nuke over Jeruselem we will now where to cast the blame Barry. Good job.
Iran should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power.
Sure, they don't have billions of barrels of oil at their disposal to supply more than enough energy. Oh wait, nevermind.
Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.
When attempted to contact them for a third time - Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, Jack Hensley, Kenneth Bigley, Eugene Armstrong, Jonathon Michael Cote, Mohammed Mutawalli, Maher Kemal, Georgi Lazov, Shosei Koda, Kim Sun-il, Paul Marshall Johnson, Jr., Seif Adnan Kanaan, Piotr Stanczak, and Aasiya Z. Hassan were unavailable for comment.
The Internet and television can bring knowledge and information, but also offensive sexuality and mindless violence.
Sure, it's not like your daughters listen to anything like that.
Some are eager to stoke the flames of division, and to stand in the way of progress.
Right like telling your groupies to confront Republicans and "get in their face".

Here are two interesting stats from the speech:
Times he referenced the "Holy Koran": 4
Times he referenced the "Holy Bible": 1

Oh yeah, he's a Christian.

Hey Barry, everything I needed to know about Islam I learned on 9/11.

Government school indoctrinator from Milton-Union denies charges of sending "inappropriate" text messages

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/04/2009 11:33:00 PM

A former Milton-Union schools teacher and coach charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency or unruliness of a minor for alleged inappropriate text messaging to a 17-year-old is denying the allegations and wants a jury trial.

The denial and jury trial request on behalf of Manuel Perez, 42, of Fletcher were filed Thursday, June 4, in Miami County Juvenile Court by lawyer Richard Skelton of Dayton.

With the filing, a June 17 arraignment of Perez has been canceled. A pretrial hearing now is scheduled for July 7.

The charge is being handled in a juvenile court because the court, under state law, has jurisdiction in contributing to the delinquency of a minor cases.

Perez was charged last Friday after the girl’s parents contacted the county Sheriff’s Office about the text messaging.

Authorities reviewed cell phone records and "several hundred" messages, dating back to February, Capt. Dave Duchak said. The messages "were inappropriate for a student-teacher relationship," he said.

And the moonbat Socialists want me to have my kids in schools with perverts like this? No thanks.

Where is George Tiller now?

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/03/2009 12:33:00 PM

Sunday afternoon, while waiting for the race to begin I was following the events surrounding the milling of abortionist and mass murderer George Tiller. I made a comment on Twitter at 1:07PM that said "George Tiller: Burning in Hell for the last three hours." The pro-abortion Tiller groupies were apoplectic. I received scores of emails and comments from the unhinged abortion fanatics.

A friend at Free Republic directed me to a post from 31 March 2003 which references an article from Agape Press in which Tiller not only admitted that hell "is a very real place" but that it was "a location in which he plans on spending all of eternity." On the morning of 22 January 2003 a sidewalk counselor told Tiller, "You can't go to heaven unrepentant, George; you are going to hell." He then instantly quipped, "Abortion is worth going to hell for."

Judge rules Bible not appropriate for kindergarten show and tell

Posted by DarthDilbert at 6/03/2009 12:30:00 PM

A kindergartner's mother cannot read Scripture during show and tell, even if the Bible is the boy's favorite book, a U.S. appeals court said Monday in the latest challenge over religion in public schools.

The Marple Newtown School District in suburban Philadelphia told plaintiff Donna Kay Busch in October 2004 that she could not read the Bible passages during her son's "All About Me" program. The school did permit the boy to discuss a poster that included references to his church as well as his family, pet and best friend.

"Parents of public school kindergarten students may reasonably expect their children will not become captive audiences to an adult's reading of religious texts," Chief Judge Anthony J. Scirica of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in the split 2-1 opinion, which upheld a lower court decision.
