The left's Messiah complex with Barack Hussein Obama
Posted by DarthDilbert at 4/27/2009 03:31:00 PM
There is an article dated this past Saturday from WorldNetDaily in which they describe a painting by Michael D'Antuono which he entitled "The Truth". It features "Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head". As indicated in the article this wasn't the first instance of this: "In January, artist Matthew J. Clark paraded a sculpture of Obama riding a donkey and preceded by waving palm fronds, reminiscent of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem".
I was able to locate another example at designforobama.org in which they ask the zombie moonbats to "let Obama into your heart".
Then not to leave out those on the left who worship on the altar of abortion and pray to the advocate of partial birth abortion they appear to be advocating the death of Trigg Palin. How very open minded and progressive of them.
"The reality is, if it’s not spent in this district it gets spent in someone else's," said U.S. Rep. Mike Turner, R-Centerville.
The Miami Valley, which is represented entirely by Republicans, has two congressmen — Austria and Rep. John Boehner, R-West Chester — who didn’t request a single earmark. But it also has Turner, who requested 48 totaling about $147 million.
ACLU demands government schools allow access to gay websites

Students and parents are demanding Metro Nashville's public schools stop blocking access to Web sites about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
They complained to the American Civil Liberties Union, which on Wednesday gave Metro and Knox County schools an April 29 deadline to announce plans to open access to the non-sexual sites. A letter to the districts threatened lawsuits if they don't comply.
In an editorial from Sunday, Dayton Daily News writes about the Dayton Tea Party that I and over 8,000 other Americans attended. Martin Gottlieb, the author of the editorial, seems obsessed with pointing out one poll after another to demonstrate that we should bow down to Obama and accept socialism. Sorry Marty, ain't gonna happen.
This is the response from Dayton Tea Party in an email I received this morning:
In response to Sunday's Dayton Daily News editorial entitled "'Tea Parties' not the start of a revolution," we must disagree with the paper's arrogant premise.
The "revolution," as the paper labels the Dayton Tea Party, is a grassroots movement over what many view as too much wasteful government spending and lack of accountability to the taxpayers.
The Dayton Tea Party is a grassroots and nonpartisan group made up of students, homemakers, working people, professionals, and small business owners in the Dayton community. The April 15 rally was paid for by the organizers and donations from the attendees of the event that included the cost for police protection. No public or any political party funds were used to support the Dayton Tea Party.
The Dayton Daily News labels the Dayton Tea Party as anti-Obama and against the president's "bold" leadership. This could not be farther from the truth. We are anti-government spending, anti-deficits, anti-bailouts and anti-plunging the U.S. into historical debt. These are actions that both political parties have done and continue to do at all levels of government.
What the Tea Partiers understand is government is not the solution, but rather part of the problem. With the exception of the U.S. military, there is not one government program in history that is cost effective. Nor is there any government program the private sector could not run cheaper and more efficiently.
The Dayton Tea Party is a voice that is getting louder and stronger every day. We are not just talking to "ourselves" as Dayton Daily News claims. We are talking to the everyday citizens who are affected by these spending policies, the taxpayers. We are speaking up for the small business owners in the Miami Valley. We are speaking up for our children and grandchildren who will bear the burden paying for this government spending. And, we are speaking up for the creators, producers, innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs who have shaped the Miami Valley and the U.S.
Who are you speaking for Dayton Daily News? What has the government ever created other than money pits and individual initiative sapping bureaucracies? Why does our government feel compelled that they can spend our money better than we can?
The Courthouse Square rally is the beginning. We plan to mobilize in our community to monitor what their local governments are doing and where exactly taxpayer monies are spent. We are educating our fellow citizens about their government's actions and encourage them to become involved in the "revolution." We advocate for small business and the free market, fiscal restraint in all levels of government, smaller government and demand respect for the U.S. Constitution.
Why the administration of Barack Hussein Obama considers me an extremist threat
Posted by DarthDilbert at 4/19/2009 10:28:00 PM
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
...
Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups. The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement.
...
Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists.
...
Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms
...
During the 1990s, rightwing extremist hostility toward government was fueled by the implementation of restrictive gun laws - such as the Brady Law.
...
Open source reporting of wartime ammunition shortages has likely spurred rightwing extremists.
I am considered an extremist threat because I am pro-life and believe that every conceived baby has a right to be born and not murdered.
I am considered an extremist threat because I want the border of this nation defended and want those who are not here legally out of this nation.
I am considered an extremist threat because I am a member of the NRA, believe strongly in the Second Amendment, and have a collection of arms to defend my family.
I am considered an extremist threat because I am a proud Army veteran.
I am considered an extremist threat because I am opposed to Obama and his Socialist administration.
More than 100 local families welcomed home their soldier loved ones Saturday. The 371st Sustainment Brigade of the Ohio National Guard is back from a one year tour in the Middle East. To the sounds of thunderous applause and military music, thousands of loved ones cheered and waved signs as the soldiers marched into the Nutter Center in Fairborn. Ohio Adjutant General Major General Gregory Wayt said to the cheering crowd, "What do you think, don't your heroes look great!"
Soldiers of yesterday saluted their counterparts of today who said they were all happy to be back home. Sgt. Jeremy Slusher from Portsmouth said, "It's been a long time coming. I'm ready to come back and be with my family and friends." Spc. Anthony Jackson from Dayton, "This is my second time doing this and it feels even better this time."
The unit escorted convoys for more than 17 million miles in Iraq. They delivered some four and half million cases of bottled water and thousands more rounds of ammunition. It was a busy year and these men and women citizen soldiers said it's time for a break.
Spc. Jackson said, "I'm going to relax, and do whatever I want to do."
Government school indoctrinators set record for complaints reported to state
Posted by DarthDilbert at 4/16/2009 04:16:00 PM
The state's teacher investigation office received complaints about more than 5 percent of Ohio's licensed educators last year. The 8,246 educators set a record for referrals to the Office of Professional Conduct, thanks in large part to more-vigilant school districts and parents. Still, only 11 percent of those cases were investigated and only 36 percent of investigated cases ended in some type of discipline.
The state gave some kind of punishment to 286 people last year. In fact, more cases were closed without discipline than in the past.
More licensed educators -- who include teachers, aides, coaches and counselors -- were investigated for violent, sex and drug offenses and for physical abuse and neglect last year than in years past. The office compiles an annual report that details trends in teacher discipline. It is being released this week.
I was delighted to be one of over 6000 people to attend the Dayton Tea Party at Courthouse Square last night. The coverage by the Dayton Daily News as well as WHIO-TV was predictably biased. I was surprised by the anemic coverage of the event by WHIO-AM/FM considering they were one of the sponsors of the event. In addition, the number of tea parties across the country described by WDTN-TV was off by a couple hundred, by why should a news organization bother with meddlesome things like facts? For some reason, DDN chose to use a photo from the Cincinnati Tea Party in their article rather than one of the fifty-five photos they have available on another page. Then again, why would we expect logic from the DDN right?
Kimberly Fletcher is the President/Founder of Homemakers for America. I was forwarded the following email which contains a letter that she sent on 31 March 31 to every member of Congress that she had a fax or email for. She writes that "three days after I sent my letter, my husband's promotion went through. Coincidence? Maybe. But never underestimate the power of a letter." I couldn't agree more.
To: Members of Congress
From: Kimberly Fletcher Air Force Wife
Dear Members of Congress, I know you are all very busy right now bailing out banks, taking over the auto industry, terrorizing corporate executives, raiding private savings accounts, establishing fair pay, silencing talk radio, regulating religion, nationalizing healthcare and robbing from the rich but I was hoping you could take a moment from your busy schedule to vote to approve my husband’s promotion.
My husband is a member of the United States Air Force serving in Iraq. He was recently promoted but his promotion, as well as all the other military service members promoted, can not go into effect until Congress approves the promotion list. Apparently you have all been so busy advancing change and saving the planet that you totally forgot to approve the list. I completely understand. Socializing America is a labor intensive job definitely worthy of that new raise you voted yourselves.
But, if you could take a moment from your busy schedule restructuring the government and dismantling the Constitution to do something Congress is actually authorized to do I would greatly appreciate it. And so would our children who are doing the best they can to live in the present since their future is already spent.
Mother helps Dayton Police arrest man exposing himself

Police said a mother saw a man exposing himself to children at a Dayton park, and now the man is in jail.
Officers arrested 61-year-old Russell Shoup and charged him with public indecency.
According to police reports, the woman and her two daughters were driving by the Burckhardt Center and Park and saw Shoup allegedly expose himself to children playing basketball.
Police said the woman stopped her car and screamed at Shoup. She said he apologized and then got into his vehicle.
The woman called police and followed Shoup’s car until officers stopped him and took him into custody.
The U.S. Air Force Museum in Ohio is making a bid to land one of NASA's space shuttles after the fleet is retired in late 2010.
Air Force Secretary Michael Donley sent a letter to the space agency in March making the request.
NASA has not indicated when it will make a decision on where the retired orbiters will be displayed. Spokesman Mike Curie said it's in everyone's interest to find a location where the shuttles can be seen by the greatest number of people.
The Air Force museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton draws 1.3 million visitors a year. Museum director Charles Metcalf said a shuttle's drawing power would push that to about 2 million.
US State Department denies visa for Iraqi translator for actions against Saddam Hussein
Posted by DarthDilbert at 4/06/2009 11:53:00 AM
An Iraqi translator who has earned commendations for risking his life repeatedly to save the lives of many American soldiers in combat has been denied a visa to live in the United States because of nonviolent actions he took to overthrow Saddam Hussein — at the same time the U.S. government was calling for regime change in Iraq.
Jasim, whose name is being withheld for his safety, has received strong support from the U.S. military, and the Department of Homeland Security approved his application for a visa. But the State Department has denied Jasim a visa because he was arrested in 1996 for actions against the Saddam dictatorship.
Business as usual for the mental midgets in the State Department - defending those that we fight against. Please contact the Hildabeast to let her know about this.
