Govermnent school teacher asks 14-year-olds to renounce U.S. citizenship

The principal of Bidwell Junior High School (Chico, California), Joanne Parsley, described a letter "which appeared to ask parents to renounce their U.S. citizenship" as "a well-intended lesson."

Mike Brooks, the government indoctrination specialist "teacher" in question, concluded the letter with "After careful consideration of the facts of our current situation, I have decided to announce to everyone that I am no longer a citizen of the United States, but a free and independent member of the global community."

Was this "teacher" disciplined at all? Of course not. Parsley said that this glowing example of government schools "would not be subject to disciplinary action."
