State Representative John White (Republican - 38th District) has advised he is resigning as chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party effective 1 January 2007. DDN reports that he has "identified three possible successors: Lara Mastin of Washington Township, Gregory Gantt of Oakwood and Carl Wick of Centerville, but said he is not endorsing anyone." In his letter to Montgomery County Republican Party Central Committee members he says that "there are some highly qualified individuals who have indicated an interest in serving - all of whom I would support." A meeting is scheduled for the evening of 12 December to elect a new Chairman as well as to "elect a slate of Executive Committee members."
